Privacy Policy

Cleaner X is built on a simple principle: your computer is yours. The app runs entirely on your device and is designed so that we never see your data — because we never collect it.

What we collect

Nothing. Cleaner X has no user accounts, no sign-in, and no analytics or tracking of any kind. We do not collect personal information, usage statistics, telemetry, advertising identifiers, or the contents of the files it scans or removes.

Data that stays on your device

To do its job, Cleaner X reads file and folder information locally and keeps a few things on your PC only:

• Activity log — a record of scans and cleanups, stored in your local app data folder so you can review what happened. It never leaves your device and you can clear it at any time.
• Your settings — preferences such as theme and language, saved locally.

This information is not transmitted anywhere. Uninstalling the app removes it.

Network access

Cleaner X does not require an internet connection to scan or clean. It does not upload files, send reports, or phone home. Any links to the Microsoft Store or this website open in your browser or the Store app at your request.

Voluntary problem reports

If something goes wrong, you can choose to send us a problem report from the app's About page. A report contains only what the app shows you before sending: your description, an optional reply email, the app and Windows version, and the app's local diagnostics log. Reports are delivered via Sentry (EU data residency) solely so we can investigate and fix the issue. Nothing is ever sent unless you press "Send report" yourself.

Third parties

The app is distributed through the Microsoft Store. Microsoft may process data related to installation and updates under its own privacy statement. We do not receive that data.

Children's privacy

Cleaner X is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children. Since we collect no data, we collect none from anyone regardless of age.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date above and post the revised version here. Material changes will be reflected in the app's Store listing.
